I think the 'Self Updater' (http://3t-io.uservoice.com/forums/265122-share-your-ideas-with-us/suggestions/8038059-self-updater) is a better suggestion. I don't want my tools to upgrade without my permission, which is suggested by the 'auto' part ;)

Frequent updates are great. Now, auto application update is needed. At the very least, an uninstructive notification of new version.
