do not pack the windows installer into a zip archive
the compression is negligible and we have to do another step to install updates.

You are right! We are usually the first ones to install our updates so we don't see that update message so often ;) We'll improve this soon and add a direct link to the download page.

Thank you! I guess maybe part of it is that the update button in the program seems to take me to a landing page that doesn't actually contain the update and I have to basically start from the homepage to obtain the download too.
