  1. Remove Dialogue Option should have select document by _id as default find query.

    This seems to be the default behavior for the "update dialogue" option. I was expecting the "remove dialogue" option to open with a default query that finds the relevant document with _id first. IMO this might cause people to delete multiple documents when that is not the intention.

  2. Pick up where you left

    If you work in an IDE like vscode, and you start it up, it automatically opens up the windows of your previous session.

    Can this not be done for studio 3T? Open up the previes db connections and collection tabs, showing your latest queries, just as it was when you closed it in the previous session.

  3. copy database: validator

    the copy database function needs to include EVERYTHING, including the validator for collections.

  4. Double click on Search collection should open the collection

    1. Search the collection in Search collection panel
    2. Right now single or double click just highlights the collection in Collection list
    3. Instead double click directly from Search collection panel should open the collection.

  5. Ability to tweak all hotkeys

    I was using Dbeaver EE & I'd the option to tweak any hotkey there. But unfortunately, in Studio-3t, I don't find an option. It is very hard to use the program.

  6. Remember Query Builder Size

    Currently, the Visual Query Builder takes up ~40% of the screen until it is resized. Once resized, if a new collection is opened, the visual query builder for that tab is also the default size.
    It would be great to have 3T remember the last size used.

  8. Deleting same data in all documents in entire collection must be a customizable option

    Couple days ago one of our junior technicians deleted critical data element in ALL documents in entire business-critical collection just by choosing wrong option "remove in all documents". If using/no using this option was in preferences and was not in a choose selection if disabled, that situation would not have happened.

  10. Follow reference shortcut

    I use the "follow reference" action quite intensively and it's one of the very few actions without a shortcut.

    That would be a huge productivity boost given my dataset.

  11. configurable execution time format

    I think a recent update changed the execution time displayed in the lower-right of the window from milliseconds to what appears to be hh:mm:ss, which is helpful for longer-running queries but not great for anything under 1 second for fine-tuning. Hovering over the time gets me that data, but I'd love to be able to configure it to be one or the other, or even show ms if under 1 second.

  12. Please, add a ready to use "SEARCH BY ID" field

    It's a such common task that for now requires typing "{ "_id": ObjectId("5f833f044443f40c1b6c1179") }" or requires opening the Query Builder, then drag'n drop the _id field, then paste the searched ID, and finally run the query.

  13. Add checkbox in settings to disable autcomplete

    It's very slow, makes IntelliShell unusably laggy, and also I don't really need it.

  14. Task Scheduling - not for Enterprise

    Come on guys, since when scheduling is a task for Enterprise ?
    Please bring that to Core tier as well.Core tier is expensive enough to justify the scheduling anyway.

    And tasks could use a bit us usability improvement ...

  15. show aggregate stage in tab label

    In the Aggregation editor it shows Stage 1 to Stage n.

    I have an aggregation pipeline consisting of 13 stages (and more are coming). Navigating back en forth is trail and error, or I need to open the Pipeline overview tab.

    Why not add the filter type ($match, $addFields, $group, $project etc) IN the tab? Makes navigating much more intuitive.

  17. Bring back the colors in the connection pane

    Since one of the recent updates the coloring in the connection pane on the right disappeared. We really liked this feature as this was perfect to distinct between the test and production environments and read only and write permissions.

  18. add large icon set for 4K screens

    Dear Studio 3T,
    If I noticed well, the latest release added new icons (for buttons), which are great, but I'm on a 4K screen, and they are still quite tiny to quickly see what they are. Could you make a larger icon set for large screens, or as a setting to choose icon size? I.e. at least 150% of the current size.

  19. allow copying columnar data in table view as csv and not json

    When using table view to look at results, it would be great if the user was able to copy the contents of a column, without the copied contents being in JSON. For example: I query some collection to get some results. The results contain a column for some ids. I want to select that column and copy those ids (preferably as a csv).

    This is not possible currently. I either have to project my output to be that single column, but even then when I copy the contents are added to my clipboard as JSON like { _id: something },…

  20. reuse collection tab when query is unchanged

    when working with lots of collections, I want to go back to another collection. every time you double click a collection it opens a new tab. it would be nice to reuse the same tab if the query is unchanged.
