  1. Provide copy as a table in table view

It's a pain to create a csv export just to copy the table view of my query result. If table view allowed me to select the rows and columns I'm interested in, then performing a copy would allow me to paste directly into a spreadsheet. This would be a HUGE multiplier to my normal workflow. Exports are powerful but overkill to just grab what is already in front of me. Please consider this.

  3. allow copying columnar data in table view as csv and not json

When using table view to look at results, it would be great if the user was able to copy the contents of a column, without the copied contents being in JSON. For example: I query some collection to get some results. The results contain a column for some ids. I want to select that column and copy those ids (preferably as a csv).

This is not possible currently. I either have to project my output to be that single column, but even then when I copy the contents are added to my clipboard as JSON like { id: something },

  4. Option to close tabs without asking

In my workflow, I don't save my mongo scripts too often and I open (and close) lots of tabs. I'd really like to not be interrupted by the window that asks "Would you like to save the changes now?" because I virtually never want to.

  7. Aggregate copy/paste like Mongo Compass

I find definitely more useful the copy/paste aggregate method offered by Mongo Compass.
Copy/Paste aggregate provide only the aggregation pipeline array that is definitely more usable than the piece of code.

My company switched to Studio 3T for the aggregate framework, but this is making hard to copy/paste the pipeline into the terminal or in other piece of code.

Hi Davide, we’re sorry to hear that you’re not completely satisfied with this. Can we ask if you have tried using Query Code (using the mongo shell output) in order to copy and paste the pipeline?

  8. Add an option under File menu to Disconnect from all databases

everyday I open 1-3 databases (dev, staging, prod) for a project, then when I switch projects, I need to manually close all DBs. with a touchpad it's hard. would be really to handy to have a disconnect from all option.
    cheers

  9. Export to CSV - Target path

While export data to CSV, the target path is not getting prompted. By default it saves in some location. It seems every time I have to search the path and get the files, even the naming convention also very "horrible". "aggregation query" - this is how the naming of the exported file.

Please revert back or provide similar to the previous one.
"Target path should be prompted every time when export the data to csv or json ..."

  10. Allow copy paste of multiple JSON View documents separated by the new comment delimiter

    Hi,

    Before the introduction of
    "// ----------------------------------------------"
delimiter in JSON view I could select hundreds of documents and c/p them easily into another collection, now because of the delimiter I can't do that, I have to switch to table view and then CTRL +A to select them all and then c/p. This is annoying and time consuming.

Can you please upgrade the c/p logic to ignore the new delimiter so the functionality is restored from before

  11. Bug report

App allows to create new database with existing name in the connection. And the real problem is when you drop that newly created database the existing database is also dropped.

  13. Add source query/filter capability to SQL Migration

In SQL Migration, I need to filter the SQL input table(s) rather than import the entire (SELECT *) result into my MDB collection. Would be much better if I could specify SQL queries for the input source of a SQL Migration.

  14. Save history of the old queries

Like postman, which has the option to redo an old request using the same parameters(history function), Studio 3t should have that too, would visually improve, since having multiple tabs open is very visually polluted.

  17. Support SQL query for @timestamp field from logstash output

Failed to parse selected text as SQL query

    BIND_PARAM clause is not supported
Since the log could be collected from logstash, it usually has the field @timestamp for the date and time value. But I couldn't query it with SQL query like normal date and time value as it will give this kind of error:

    select *
    from cloudtrail
    where @timestamp == '2019-04-14T13:18:59.000Z' (on line 1, character 0)

  19. Support db.collection.estimatedDocumentCount()

The home page claims "Full compatibility with current and legacy releases of MongoDB (MongoDB v3.0-4.0), so your estate is fully secure."

https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/reference/method/db.collection.estimatedDocumentCount/#db.collection.estimatedDocumentCount was introduced in v4.0.3 and works fine from the mongo shell.

  20. Restore Fullscreen when restarting on macOS

I usually run studio in fullscreen on a separate space. When I restart the app (like for an update etc.) it doesn't restore fullscreen view.
