No duplicate tabs!
When a collection tab is opened using a double click on a collection name in the left side panel, a new tab is opened. Even when it is already there.
So then there are two or more tabs for the same collection, which I find useless and annoying if they can't be viewed side-by-side.
(Linux version)
This in no configurable in the application preferences

Also:
- I'm on a Foo collection
- I set some query, projection, sort.
- When I double click again on the Foo collection, I expect that query/projection/sort are reset.:)

Just see the new "Allow multiple tabs per collection" option. Thanks for that.
But I think it should be an option to open multiple tabs "by default".
When I open a collection, I want it to open in existing tab, but in some occasions I would like to be able to "Right click on a collection" => "Open in new tab" :)

Please make it configurable, personally i like having same collection opened in multiple tabs with different result sets

Of course, for side-by-side tabs, please up-vote http://3t-io.uservoice.com/forums/265122-share-your-ideas-with-us/suggestions/8306730-side-by-side-tabs

Good point. Therefore I included the last sentence, but indeed, when you can't compare side-by-side, your method is the best way to go right now.
An easy fix would be to alternative-click (plus context menu item) on the collection in the left side bar to duplicate-open the collection, so you can still compare queries :) -

It is not useless.
I use different queries on the same collection. Or same query but keep the old result to compare.
You can close duplicate tabs, but not the other way around.I like the idea of comparing tabs side by side.
