Keyboard shortcuts should have a little better unity.
There are some odd keyboard shortcut consistency issues. Sometimes you use ctrl-enter to see results, sometimes it's F5. Deleting a document is sometimes del (if multiple selected) or shift-del (if a field is selected). The same action should always be the same shortcut or else muscle memory will screw you up.
1 voteHi, as of 2021.4 we added Customizable Shortcuts : https://studio3t.com/whats-new/release-2021-4/
We’d love your feedback.

Document JSON Editor: Update only changed fields, do not overwrite the entire document
There should be an option when editing a JSON document to update only changed fields, so that parallel changes from other clients (eg, a sever application) will not be overwritten.

Show/hide of document Timestamp
Since the Timestamp for a document can be generated from ObjectId (https://docs.mongodb.org/v3.0/reference/method/ObjectId.getTimestamp/), it would be nice to be able to optionally view and sort the documents by Timestamp.

Allow export/import using mongodump and mongorestore
Exporting 12k documents is ok with mongochef took only few seconds, but importing these documents takes ages (many minutes). Importing bson file took 11 seconds with mongorestore. Mongochef should implement something like that.
I tried copy documents to different collection on same host, but this one is slow too. Maybe this is problem of number for concurent writers? Deal with hundrends of thousands documents or even millions is impossible with mongochef.13 votes -
Support high-DPI screens
The experience is really bad currently on high DPI screens. Icons and controls in general are too small.

Add import or support for third-party JS in IntelliShell
I'd like to use some of the great libraries out there (think: UnderscoreJS, moment, etc.) so I don't have to roll my own functions in my Intellishell scripts. Does a way to import these exist already? If not, could it be added in a simple way?

IntelliShell configuration per DB connection
It would be nice if I could set up, for example, the mongo shell executable for every connection that I'm using.
This would be very useful if you are working with multiple environments and you require to use different versions of mongo client
1 voteHi! This is resolved, we introduced per-connection Mongo tools in 2019.7.0

Copy/Paste to Excel
We are frequently exporting data to Excel for a more easy use by non technical people (charts, pivot). It would be great to be able to copy the table view and paste it directly to Excel.
19 votesHi Luc, hi all – we’ve just added this functionality in Studio 3T 2021.2 (https://studio3t.com/whats-new/release-2021-2/).
Now you can copy/paste to Excel, with or without headers: https://studio3t.com/knowledge-base/articles/export-query-results-mongodb-to-csv-excel/
