Show total number of matches to a query when > limit value.
In some older versions of mongochef, the status line below the results table would show 'x documents found, display y.' This was extremely helpful, and appears to have been removed in version 3.3.

Autosave open IntelliShell windows
Since the app has a habit of needing to be Force Quit so often, it would be courteous to have the app autosave my work so that I don't have to get so mad when I lose what I'm working on.

Ability to group databases into folders like dev/uat/prod/private
Provide ability to group databases into folders. similar way as tortoiseHG workbench does. I can create folders like DEV, UAT, PROD or PRIVATE and drag and drop my database there.

Export to excel format (additional to csv format)
Using a true excel export format would eliminate problems with floats using a . or a , for digits separations and date format. Where excel-expecting another local date/float format. These stuff is mostly a problem outside the USA (say the rest of the world using different time formats and floating point formatting)

Add parameters to tasks
It would be great to be able to set parameters on tasks that can be used in the filters, then when you execute or schedule them you would be prompted for the parameter(s)

remove ability to scroll mouse wheel over visual query builder
When creating complex queries in the visual query builder there is frequent scrolling required. most mouse pointer devices now have scroll wheels which are critical for big data exploration. Currently your record fields change if you are hovering (not selecting) over your fields in the visual query builder, which changes there values. This is extremely frustrating, and breaks the result. You should only be able to change this value of you have positively selected the object with a left mouse click.

Allow changes to font-size
I've a high resolution screen, and this make viewing lots of data in the small font difficult. Having an option to increase the font-size would be great.

bring back the simple export for query results
It now takes 20 extra steps to export from a query result and the task cannot be saved. I used to be able to run a script with N queries and then export each tab for analysis with 5 simple steps (and the application remembered the previous selections so most of the clicks were for next). Now all the little changes have to be defined each time and there are so many steps.
I can see how the new wizard can be great for the cases you can save as a task but for the cases you cannot save it…6 votes -
Allow to edit multiple documents as JSON
When editing a document as JSON (ctrl+J), it is a modal window, and we can't do anything else on mongo while this window is open.
Moving to an another document to make some copy/paste, or view data on other documents while editing the first one will be great.6 votes -
Improve text selection in query input text fields
Currently double clicking a value in the query input field will select not only the value but also any qoutes around it, and the trailing accolade or comma (and - if there - space). This selection issue is also noticable when using CTRL-left / right and such.
You've got it right in the intelliShell, so if that kind of selection could also be applied to these input fields it'd be of great help.

Allow discarding all open scripts
Currently, if you have multiple query tabsopened in Studio 3T (Free) on Linux, closing the program presents you with a dialog to Save Changes to file 'Script(1)' with options: 'Cancel', 'No, Discard' and 'Yes, Save'. Note that there is not option to 'Discard All'. My work often requires me to have multiple (>5) tabs opened simultaneously, which results in a somewhat annoying process of clicking 'No, Discard' many times. This problem made me stick with an older version of Robomongo (for now).
I hope this feature would not be too complicated to implement. Thank you!

Allow to select folders for import
I'm a data science student and one of my use-cases is importing 100,000 small json files in nested folders. I copied them all over to one folder but selecting all of these files tends to lock up the GUI. It would be nice to be able to select a folder for imput.

Add horizontal scroll in Result Table View with [shift+mouse wheel]
See how it works in chrome browser, intellijj IDEA, LibreOffice etc.

Fix the lag in the results view
Scrolling in the "Result" tab in every type of view (Tree, Table or JSON) is Extremely slow and laggy.
This is in my opinion a major downside to Studio 3T, a smoother scroll would make the user experience a lot better.5 votes -
